Mondays, January 21 - February 25, 2019 4:00-5:30 — Grades 2-3
Class Description: Learn The Basics!
Find out how to get around the stage through basic stage directions. Learn how to create a character and work with others on stage in developing characters and stories for the stage. Be prepared to try new improv games to build creativity!
Tuesdays, January 22 - February 26, 2019 4:00-5:30 — Grades 9-12
Class Description: Devised Theatre ~ A New Experience!
Devised theatre is a process through which an ensemble collaboratively creates a performance around an issue of their choice. This gives students the opportunity to work on subjects that matter to them!
Wednesdays, January 23 - February 27, 2019 4:00-5:30 — Grades 4-5
Class Description: Film Audition Workshop
Want to be in Movies and TV? Love to act?
Take this class to learn how film auditions work and how to audition for Commercials, Television and Film. Learn about agents and how to get them, where to find auditions, and what auditions to avoid.
Thursdays, January 24 - February 28, 2019 4:00-5:30 — Grades 6-8
Class Description: Creative Characters
Students will create a variety of characters and explore in-depth the elements that go towards creating characters!
We will explore physicality and vocal work, as well as writing original monologues and scenes with our original characters!
At the end of the session we will perform our original pieces! Get ready to get creative!

Performance day for all classes is Thursday, May 2nd from 4:00-5:30
Miners Alley is continuing to offer After School Acting Classes in 2019, along with our award winning Summer Workshops in June and July. Each class will have a final performance to showcase what they’ve learned. Since the classes are designed to teach the basic skills needed to perform, we want to give the kids a chance to show off what they’ve learned! These lessons will build confidence, teamwork and listening skills, and form a firm foundation for working on the stage.
